Medicare & work-RVU tools

RVU calculator

Start with what you need to calculate. A national Medicare estimate, a local code payment, and clinician compensation use different inputs.

No account required. Medicare amounts are base physician fees before claim-level adjustments.

Compensation estimate

—

Enter your RVU quantity and the dollar factor in your agreement.

This uses your factor, not a CMS conversion factor. It excludes salary, thresholds, bonuses and other contract terms.

Why three different calculations?

A Medicare service combines work, practice-expense and malpractice RVUs. Each component has its own geographic index. The office and facility settings can use different practice-expense RVUs.

Compensation agreements may instead pay a negotiated amount per work RVU. That dollar factor is a contract input, not the Medicare conversion factor.

Browse the same code across states and payment localities, then inspect its setting differences, source inputs and available release history.
